Arbroath Armed Forces and Emergency Services Day Parade

The Parade will include serving Military Personnel, Veterans and Cadets as well as the Emergency Services will start at Arbroath Abbey at 1330. The aim of the event is to celebrate and raise awareness of Arbroath’s many links with the military and to enable the public to show their appreciation.
At Victoria Park the Royal Marines Condor Military Wives Choir will give a performance, followed by a spectacular display of a Pitts Special S2-A bi-plane – in red and white livery – that has been so popular in previous years.
Stalls from many of the organisations will be located in Victoria Park from 1200 hours to give the public an insight into their work as well as afford the public to see various demonstrations and chat to personnel. A climbing frame and tutor cockpit will be among the activities. A model airplane static display and vintage vehicles will also feature. A Royal Air Force Living History Group (638 Squadron) will be setting up a wartime Royal Air Force camp providing you with an opportunity to try a Spitfire flight simulator.
