Armed Forces Community Fun Day
- Great Parndon Community Centre
Harlow CM18 6YJ
As part of our continued missions to bridge the gap between community groups and local residents, we host and annual community engagement and outdoor fun day to connect and bring as many diverse groups, cultures and nationalities together, for a celebration of food, activities, 5-aside football games, tug of war etc.
This year we are hosting the event to celebrate the remarkable contributions of our service personnel to their various communities and the nation as a whole.
The festival will place a spot light and highlight the rich multi-cultural diversity by giving local residents an opportunity to explore the unique attractions through a learning experience and an exhibition of what our armed forces does, their recruitment process and how local residents can connect and get involved.
We will be working closely with the local British Legion and the Colchester Army Barracks through the planning process to ensure a fun experience for families.
Historically, our fun days attract over 1200 people across the town every year and event promises to attract people from all corners of the town while presenting an educational insight for children to learn about the country through their food, music and general lifestyle.
It is completely free and open to all so whether someone is new to the town; young or old, love music, culture, knitting or just prefer to sing along – there is something unique about this event to help you relax and make new connections.
