Folkestone Town Council are excited to announce that our 12th annual Armed Forces Community Fun Day will include exhilarating air displays from the PWRR ‘Tigers’ parachute team, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Chinook and Black Cat Display Teams (TBC).

Folkestone Armed Forces Day is a free family day out with recognition of Service Personnel, Veterans and Cadets past, present and future the prime focus.

Each year this event has grown with success, and we expect over 20,000 visitors again this year.

The area to the rear of the bandstand (to the junction of Clifton Gardens) will be dedicated to displays and
stands including cadet’s laser shooting tents, face painting, military benevolent organisations, military
static aircraft & vehicle displays and Great War Trench Experience with the Red Arrows flight simulator,
Typhoon display team flight simulator, Funfair, Classic Car Show, Battle of Britain and weapon display
stands sited in the grassed area between The Grand and junction of Clifton Gardens and Clifton Crescent. All trade and F & B stands will be located on the lawns between the Leas Cliff Hall and WWI Memorial Arch.

In addition to this, there is full entertainment programme on the bandstand and arena areas with musical & dance performances, The Imps Motorcycle Display team and much more.

The event, as previously, will be publicised with national, regional and local TV, radio and newspapers; through our various event sponsors media channels, Folkestone Town Council’s website and social media platforms, posters and flyers and in our quarterly community magazine.
