Bradford — 29 June 2019
Armed Forces Day
Bradford will stand together to remember the courage and bravery of our armed forces at a special drumhead service (11am,Cenotaph) followed by WWII displays, brass bands and activities in City Park’s
Temporary Gardens (11:30am-3pm).
Discover what life was like on the Home Front at a recreated training camp complete with equipment and weapons. Take part in a child-friendly drill display and visit a detained Luftwaffe airman. But be careful to stay clear of the cordoned off UXB (unexploded bomb) which was dropped during a recent air raid.
See how refreshments were provided at a 1940’s Battalion Field Kitchen serving period food and beverages.
In the interests of national security, all vehicles will be stopped and checked at a
WWII road block. Admission is free.
