Join us at the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum on the 1st of July to discover a brand-new exhibition, Women and War. This Armed Forces Day event offers a free invitation for current Armed Forces personnel, their families, cadets and veterans to explore this exciting exhibition. This exhibition celebrates the diverse contributions of women from the Second World War to the present day. It brings to life relatable stories from the military, navy and air force for serving personnel and veterans.

Activities will run throughout the day, including object handling and oral history recordings. Come in and share your stories and experiences to contribute to this celebration of service.

The museum is located in Woodstock. Buses from Oxford provide quick transport and Oxford Parkway station can also be accessed by bus. There is no parking available at the museum, but there is a long-stay car park 10 minutes walk away on Hensington Road. Short-stay parking can be found on Park Street. The museum is fully accessible, with ramps through the garden, a lift, and an accessible toilet.
