- Brentwood Town Hall,
Brentwood Borough Council are inviting residents to a celebration to show appreciation of the work of the Armed Forces at our Armed Forces Day Flag Raising Ceremony outside the Town Hall on Monday 22 June at 10.45am.
It is being held as part of Armed Forces Day, the annual national campaign that gives everyone the opportunity to show their support for the men and women of the Armed Forces past and present, including currently serving troops, Service families, Reservists, veterans and cadets.
Similar events will be taking place across Essex and the UK, enabling people to come out and show their support, and giving a much-valued morale boost for Armed Forces personnel and their families.
Ahead of the ceremony, The Mayor of Brentwood, Councillor Mark Reed, said: “It really is a privilege to be involved in events such as these that give us all a chance to show our support for our Armed Forces for all that they do. Please join myself and local veterans as we unite as a community to give our thanks for all that they have given and continue to do to keep us all safe”.
