Hinckley — 27 June 2015
Armed Forces Day Parade and Drum Head Service
- 10 Church Walk,
Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.
In partnership with the Royal British Legion, Hinckley Combined Ex-service Association, Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council and St Mary’s Church this will be a great event to say thank you and honour our past and present serving armed forces.
On Saturday 27th June 2015 at 10.50am there will be a short parade starting outside the Co-op through the town down Castle Street and into Argents Meade followed by a Drumhead Service. After the Service the parade will make its way down Castle Street and along Regent Street, where a formal salute will be taken before the procession disbands.
It will involve representatives of regiments, sections and services including Hinckley’s cadet forces.
Members of the public are invited to join the free event and to show their support by waving hand-held flags which will be given out on the day.
Refreshments will be made available at the conclusion of the parade.
