Armed Forces Day @ the NMA – Coach Trip from the High Peak
- Market Street,
Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets. With this in mind the Hayfield Royal British Legion have organised a coach trip to the Armed Forces Day at the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas in Staffordshire on the 25th June.
As well as the usual programme of activities at the National Memorial Arboretum including a Daily Act of Remembrance, guided walks as well as buggy and land train tours, special Armed Forces Day activities will be taking place throughout the day. Activities for the whole family will include: A service of thanks and Armed Forces Day parade, a Veterans Village, Display teams & exhibitions. Children’s adventure activities including climbing walls, archery, Segways, a zip-line and a mobile cave experience and much more…
Entry into the Arboretum is free, though donations are appreciated. Full details of the days’ programme can be found at www.thenma.org.uk.
The coach will depart from Glossop at 8am picking up via Hayfield, New Mills, Whalley Bridge, Chapel en le Frith & Buxton arriving at 10.15approx. Tickets for the coach are available by phoning Hayfields branch secretary David on 01663 742480 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for under 12s.
