Armed Forces Day

Marham — 1–2 July 2017

Armed Forces Veterans Ball

When
6:30 pm to 6:00 am
Location
Marham,
England,
PE33 9NP

For Armed forces Day we are hoping to hold The Armed Forces Veterans Ball at RAF Marham, funding pending. The Ball will include a sit down meal and live music and will be for veterans, current serving personnel and their partners. This event will also coincide with the relaunch of our newly named Lady Bader Ambassadors who are community befrienders. Lady Bader is the late wife of the late [Group Captain] Sir Douglas Bader. Our befrienders work within the community and care homes in the local area of Norfolk and are all current armed forces serving personnel. Our befrienders ensure that no veteran is forgotten and have the task of ensuring a presence of remembrance when one passes away. They also spend time with our veterans in the community and ensure the right connections are made for them to access support.
In addition we are also holding a BlueBirds event at Park House (Leonard Cheshire) in September 2017 which will be open to the whole community to celebrate the Armed Forces and [Group Captain] Leonard Cheshire’s 100th birthday.
Our Armed Forces Veterans Ball, will ideally be held in the Senior NCO’s Mess, and will be open to veterans from within the community, current serving personnel and reserves. There will be a sit down 3 course meal and live music – celebrating the Armed Forces.
As a veteran myself you can be assured that this will be a military operation planned to the minute.
