Race Council Cymru is a national umbrella body that is set up to promote racial equality and cohesion across Wales. One of our programmes is Black History Cymru.
This project which is called, “Celebrating Black Soldiers on Armed Forces Day” will give service peoples families, past and present to share their stories of the contributions of black and ethnic minority soldiers who joined the war efforts and who currently serve in the Armed Forces to tell their stories through, spoken word, dance, drama, and poetic recitations. We will also showcase the CD and books by Mrs Patti Flynn who is a celebrated Jazz singer who’s brothers served and died as soldiers during the war efforts.
