City of Lincoln Armed Forces Day
- High St
All 3 services of the Regular Armed Forces, the Reserve Forces and Cadet Forces are in attendance.
The opening ceremony includes the march on of the standards – an element of all 3 services and cadets. The reviewing dignitaries include the Station Commanders of 5 RAF Stations, the local MP, the City Mayor and the Lord Lieutenant. The band of the City of Lincoln Fire and Rescue will play the march on to regimental marches. Following the opening review of the services on parade, the Lord Lieutenant will deliver a speech. All the Ex-Services Associations have stalls and are there to meet the general public, as well as entertainment throughout the day. Military vehicles and Regular Forces Stands are all open to the general public who enjoy conversing with both the Ex Services and Regular Forces about their various campaign medals, where they serve and have served. A fly past by the Red Arrows or the BBMF always goes down well. The City of Lincoln is a vibrant and busy place for the Armed Forces Day to be held, well supported by both the businesses and general public.
