Glasgow Armed Forces Day 2017

The city will host a day of celebration with a fun, family friendly event on the main civic space within the city, George Square.
There will be a professional level programme of music and dance, numerous display and information stands, interactive activities for children including climbing walls and an inflatable assault course. It is hoped to have military equipment and vehicles on the Square also, for the public to experience.
A large city centre parade is planned which will incorporate military personnel past and present including: serving personnel, T.A., ex service personnel, veterans and cadets. The parade will go through prominent city centre locations before arriving in George Square to be addressed by the city’s Lord Provost and greeted by the waiting public.
The city is also hosting a large civic reception within the City Chambers overlooking the Square, to welcome military personnel past and present.
