Royal Borough of Greenwich, home to the largest number of Gurkha veterans in UK. Since the high court ruling allowed Gurkha veterans to retire in the UK, a sizeable migration has taken place into the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The elderly spend their time active, happy, with their own culture, traditions and community focus. The Armed Forces Day will be a community cohesion event, with a cultural programme from both Gurkha and wider community. British/Nepal delicacies, BBQ, Cultural Exchange programme and a parade around the Village.
There will also be a photographic display on various local projects which the veterans, war widows and families have been involved in Royal Borough of Greenwich.
