MCVC (Military Community Veterans Centre) Drop in Centre & Breakfast Club
- The Spectrum,
The Rotherham MCVC (Military Community Veterans Centre) consists of both serving and ex service members of the Armed Forces (Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Marines). Our aim is to provide both comradeship and a sign posting service to expert support providers (should it be required) for our military personnel (Regulars and Reservists, past and present) and their dependents within the Rotherham area.
We operate a ‘drop in centre’ every Friday at ‘Voluntary Action Rotherham’, The Spectrum, Coke Hill (10am – 1200pm) providing help, support and guidance and a venue for those wanting to meet on a social footing with comrades from a similar background. We also operate a Breakfast Club which meets on alternate Saturday’s (6th & 20th June; 4th & 18th July et cetera) at the Storyteller Public House, Stadium Way, Parkgate S60 1TG (11am – 1pm) for those wishing to attend.
We network and we look after each other and it really works because we have a similar outlook on life; similar sense of humour and in many respects the social life we all enjoy is similar to the days when we served.
So if you want to come along, be it for guidance, help and advice or just to join in the banter, as long as you have a uniform service history, or association with such just turn up on a Friday morning or alternate Saturday morning and you will be made most welcome. Do not forget the free bus from Rotherham Interchange to Parkgate, get off at Retail World and walk across the road to the Breakfast Club in the Storyteller.
We look forward to seeing you.
