Stockton Armed Forces Day
Stockton’s Armed Forces Week celebrations will commence with a flag raising ceremony on Monday 24 June to mark our support for the Armed Forces. The day itself will take place on 27 June and will be an all day programme, with displays and information stands from Armed Forces and support organisations including local Regimental Association information stands, re-enactment groups with military vehicles, museums and Army standoff vehicles from the Yorkshire Regiment, The Rifles, and 1 Close Battalion REME. Entertainment will be provided on stage throughout the day by WW1/WW2 singers and local schools, and there will also be an Outdoor services to the Troops in Stockton Town Centre with the Salvation Army Band.
This is a free event in the Town Centre for members of the public to attend and local schools will also be invited to attend, to observe, participate, and meet past and present personnel of the Armed Forces and charities/organisations that support them.
