Stranraer & Rhins Combined “Armed Forces” Day

11:59 am to 5:00 pm

A gathering in the Town to celebrate our combined Armed Forces community past and present.
The event will include several side shows of local talent singing, dancing, amusements and refreshments, as well as the presence of several councillors, MPs, The Lord Lieutenant and other dignitaries.
The local Army Cadet Force, the Kings Own Scottish Borderers Association (KOSBA), other RBLS, SSAFA and voluntary bodies will be in attendance.
A small local committee is working towards a celebration of all of our voluntary services at the same time, with attendance by RLSS, Coastguards, Blood bike and Mountain Rescue equipment and members.
Our Armed Forces Day week will start and finish with a Flag raising and Lowering service in the Town Centre held on the Monday Prior to and after the 24th of June 17.
