We want to do a series of dancing, music, drumming workshops and have live performances.
The of aim our project is to bring Armed Forces from the local community together to enjoy Music and Dance. We aim that this project will help the Armed forces enjoy themselves with their families and local community, learn new skills, confidence, self-esteem and give them a feeling of belonging in the community, and celebrate their achievements. We will use traditional Southern African / African musical instruments such as Ngoma (drums), uphondo (horns) and link them with British instruments and folklore. We will create a colourful culturally diverse and educational event connecting Armed Forces and people from different backgrounds and cultures. We will include live Zulu dancers in traditional warrior outfits as worn by ”The Lion King Cast” . Also we will share food and drinks from all over the world.
