We aim to provide a community family fun event to celebrate armed forces day.
During Covid we identified the need to combat social isolation and promote community health and wellbeing, bringing back the good old community spirit. We will again invite other local services such as cadets, fire brigade, scouts, territorial army, veterans, British legion, vintage vehicles, field kitchens, brass band, local community groups and networking groups, fair ground rides, family sports games, we will also have display boards inside the community centre with hundreds of past and present photographs, highlighting the DLI, and our local mining history, entertainment will take place for the children, fancy dress fun runs using our regular links.
