Wakefield Armed Forces Day is a day of celebration and a real opportunity for the people of Wakefield District to come together to say a big thank you to our military personnel and their families, along with our many Veterans and Cadet Forces.

This hugely popular, free event will take place in the beautiful grounds of Pontefract Park and Race Course, providing the perfect location for the Armed Forces to showcase their equipment and displays. Visitors can also enjoy a full arena programme, a Fly Past from The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, a Free Fall Parachute Display, Military Bands, Children’s Entertainment, Food Court, Historic Military Vehicles and our well-attended Veterans Parade. Also attending the event will be a variety of charities and organisations that provide advice and support to our Veterans community.

This family friendly event really does offer something for everyone, whilst celebrating the outstanding contribution made by our Armed Forces; with Free Entry and Free Parking, we hope to see you there!
