Wolverhampton — 27 June 2015
Wolverhampton Armed Forces Day Parade and Drumhead Service
On Saturday 27 June, the City of Wolverhampton will show its support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, whether currently serving troops, service families, veterans or cadets. We will gratefully acknowledge the contribution made to our country by those who serve and have served in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces.
Wolverhampton’s support will take the form of a parade through the city by regular, reserve, cadet and ex-service personnel, stepping-off from Wulfruna Street and marching into St Peter’s Square for an outdoor Drumhead Service.
The Mayor and Civic Party will take the salute as the parade passes. The Mayor, High Sheriff and Commanding Officers will meet Armed Forces personnel and veterans before the drumhead service begins. This will be led by the Rector of Wolverhampton, the Reverend David Wright, and will include hymns led by a local school band.
