Wolverhampton Armed Forces – “We’ll Meet Again” – Day

Beacon Centre for the Blind are planning to host a day that involves customers from both of our day centres, residents, their families, friends and carers. Customers will be encouraged to bring items of memorabilia, photographs, medals etc and encouraged to talk about their memories. Cooking session will be held on the morning in our Independent Living Centre, Life Skills room which will be a recipe of the time, again encouraging and stimulating memory. Staff and volunteers will be encouraged to dress within the theme and the centre will be decorated accordingly. Food served at lunchtime within our restaurant will again reflect the time. The events will be brought together on the afternoon with a ‘street party’ themed event with tea and cakes and musical entertainment. Local dignitaries will be invited as well as other local community groups.
