A celebration for Armed Forces Day will be held in Bents Park in the form of a Parade and Service prior to the Bad-Landers fundraising event, opening with a cavalcade of around 500 motorbikes along the coast to the venue. During the service their is an inspection of the troops.
The day is an annual opportunity for the people of South Tyneside and beyond to show their support for the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to service families, and from veterans to cadets.
Following the Parade and Service their is a family fun day featuring live music, stalls, Motorbike and Car Displays alongside market stalls and refreshments. Special wristbands are sold and the funds go to Forces charities.
