The Nest; Norwich City’s Community Sports Foundations specialist multi sports facility boasting two full size all weather 3g football pitches will play host to its first Armed Forces celebration day with capacity to welcome 1000+ people of all ages. The aim is to produce a vibrant fun day with a local band performing live music sets, food from our onsite cafe and local food vendor plus family friendly activities. In the afternoon we will host our first Norwich City football club legends vs armed forces personnel 11 a side match on the 3g pitch following our cadet and armed forces families youth football festival starting in the morning. A commitment of attendance from local armed forces recruitment offices, local supports group ‘Forces2Canaries’ and other existing charity partner relationships. The day will run from 10am – 6pm with space and facilities to use an indoor area should the weather be less favourable on the day as well as a cafe and mobile cafe for outside.
