Hull — 3 July–3 June 2021
Hull Armed Forces Day
Two venues have been identified for the event and the most appropriate venue will be subject to covid restrictions nearer the date.
The celebration event is to recognise the very strong links that the armed forces have with Kingston upon Hull and to recognise our veterans in the city who are represented across all sections of our city regardless of age and ethnicity.
This will be an event for strengthening further, the links with the Armed Forces and veterans community with the local community and will highlight the continuing cross sector work that is taking place in the city.
All sections from the Army, Royal Navy, RAF, Marines and Cadet corps will take part, along with local support groups from the Armed Forces Forum including Hull4Heroes and the Veterans Community Hub. Humberside Police and Fire and Rescue will also promote their services throughout the day.
The event will include re-signing the Hull Armed Forces Covenant Charter. Activities will include:
• Veterans Marquee
• Healthy eating food display
• Various family fun activities
• Royal Marines combat display
• Army display
• Blue Light display incorporating police, fire and rescue and ambulance
