Leeds Armed Forces Day

Hosted by the Lord Mayor of Leeds, this free event celebrates the courage and contribution of the Armed Forces past and present.
There will be something for all ages on offer, including:
• a parade and salute, enabling the public to show their thanks and support for these brave men and women
• a full programme of entertainment – including performances by the West Yorkshire Fire And Rescue Service Band, Leeds Pipe Band plus many more
• a huge range of free family-friendly activities, including a climbing wall, arts, crafts, face painting and much more
• an array of displays, military vehicles and military related stalls, including a replica spitfire
• stalls with information about welfare, education and services for service personnel, past and present – and their families
• the opportunity to speak with a range of military charities and veterans groups, and to hear their inspiring stories
Briggate is a short walk from both Leeds bus station and train station, with plenty of city centre car parking available.
