Show your support to our armed forces at Tameside’s Armed Forces Day.

At our annual event, musicians, singers and dancers will be providing entertainment including songs famous for their connection with the men and women in the British Armed Forces. Tameside based cadet units will also be showing off their drill skills in displays throughout the afternoon.

There’s also a whole host of activities to do. Test your strength on our climbing wall or your accuracy with laser clay pigeon shooting. Find out about military history through artefacts and memorability displays or find about your family’s armed forces connections. 23 organisations offering activities, information or support services attended in 2022, so there is plenty to do.

For ex-service/ serving armed forces personal, there is an invitation only luncheon with the Civic Mayor of Tameside and other dignities to thank them for their service. All current and ex-service personnel are invited to register with Tameside Armed Services Community (TASC) if they have not already done so to receive an invite to this event. There will also be plenty of organisations supporting the veterans and serving personnel at the event in Victoria Park.
