Age Exchange has just signed the Armed Forces Covenant. Our charity supports many older people living with complex health conditions including dementia through enabling them to participate in group work and enjoy arts and crafts, music and dance and reminiscence. To celebrate Armed Forces Day our groups have been reminiscing about family members who served in the armed forces. Our group members are creating a visual arts exhibition inspired by their loved ones who served and their experience of conflict. The exhibition will include paintings, photography and poetry all made by our group members, supported by our professional artists, volunteers and carers. The exhibition will hang in our gallery and community cafe where we welcome 185,000 visitors a year.
