A free family event to say thank you to our Armed Forces personnel. There will be a selection of food, drink, miniature railway and community stands. Entertainment will take place throughout the day, craft stands, face painting, children’s rides. The Army, Air, Police and Sea Cadets will have display stands showing various pieces of equipment. The cadets will be formed up by the Standard Bearer prior to inspection by the DL of Kent. The formal parade is led by the Standard Bearer into the main arena. Each of the cadet groups provide a display and talk thorough what they are doing whilst this is taking place using the PA system provided. There will also be displays and static vehicles The formal parade and prayers gives people a chance to reflect on the important work and service of our Armed Forces. Static displays of vintage and military vehicles, motor bikes and cars appeal to all generations and gives a chance for interaction with the public. There will be performances by a Brass Band, Pipers, Dancing Horses a 1940’s Style Singer alongside a Fairground and bouncy castles to keep youngsters busy.
