Armed Forces Day, Falkirk – His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant Col Charlie Wallace has been invited and will be our VIP guest. We invite all veterans, military families, tri-cadet forces. We are having a parade, with veterans, cadets, all elected members are invited. The event is inclusive, a day where we thank our brave men and women who serve in the British Armed Forces. Last year we had Army Reserves, 153 REME, The Parachute Regiment, this year we will have The Royal Air Force, The Royal Regiment of Scotland. The event is also supported by Poppyscotland Bud educational lorry, Help for Heroes, Erskine Veterans Charity, Fire Service, Rescue Service, Scottish Veterans Residences as well as many other local businesses. We have the support of the Scottish Military Vehicle Group, approx 20 vehicles and 6 military displays. We have music, dancers, live singers and bands. We also have shows/rides/ bouncey castles and face painting for children. We have license food vendors. This is a fantastic National annual event was started 3 years ago. Armed Forces has the full support of the local community and the wider public.
