Armed Forces Together at the Julie Rose Stadium is a free, inclusive community event celebrating serving personnel, veterans, cadets and military families across Ashford and the surrounding areas. The event is designed to honour service, strengthen community connections and promote health, wellbeing and local support services available to the Armed Forces Community.

This event is open to all ages and backgrounds, with a particular focus on the Armed Forces. It also invites the wider community to show their support and learn more about the experiences and contributions of the Armed Forces.

On the day, the stadium will host a range of interactive acivity zones including a military style fitness challenge, family sports activities and a veterans’ walking football showcase. Local Armed Forces charities and support organisations such as RBL and SSAFA will be present to provide advice or signposting. There will be a wellbeing zone offering resilience workshops and mental health resources, alongside cadet demonstrations and community performances to create a celebratory atmosphere.

The event aims to reduce social isolation among veterans, promote physical and mental wellbeing, and strengthen understanding between civillian and Armed Forces communities. By combining commemoration, activity and support services in one accessible location, the day will create meaningful engagement and a lasting positive impact.
