Join us as we celebrate Armed Forces Day in style – a fantastic community event that brought 1,000+ new visitors to the town last year, and 2026 is set to be even bigger and better!

✨ What to expect:

🚁 Epic Military Flypasts
In 2025 we were treated to TWO incredible flypasts from a Chinook helicopter and the legendary Lancaster Bomber – and we’re hoping for another thrilling double flypast this year!

🏃 Free Fun Activities
Test your skills on the assault course and enjoy a wide selection of FREE family-friendly activities throughout the day.

🎪 Arena Displays
Be wowed by live performances and military demonstrations in the main arena – action-packed and exciting for all ages.

🍔 Food, Drink & Fairground Fun
Enjoy delicious street food, refreshing drinks and classic fairground rides for the whole family.

🪖 Meet Our Armed Forces
This is your chance to meet and greet serving personnel, sit inside real military vehicles, ask questions and hear their incredible stories first-hand. A truly unique experience!

🎉 How the day unfolds
The day begins with a military parade departing from the Town Hall following a ceremonial flag raising. From there, the real fun kicks off in the park!
