Take Shelter are thrilled to be part of the city’s Armed Forces Day celebrations. There will be lots to see and do during your visit to Armed Forces Day at Take Shelter:

Enjoy a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (Spitfire) Flyover

Drumhead Service

Displays from Armed Forces Cadet units

Mayor and other VIPS in attendance.

We also have the usual Take Shelter Activities:

Tour the shelter with our knowledgeable guides
Play one of our vintage fair games
Browse our World War II museum
Chat with our veterans about their wartime experiences
Soak up the vintage sounds and learn wartime dances on our dancefloor
Enjoy a cup of tea and bite to eat from Mrs Button’s Tea Room
Take home a souvenir from the Take Shelter shop

It is FREE or low cost to come and browse or take part in our activities. Tickets required for shelter tours – we recommend advance booking to secure the time most convenient for you.
