Castleford Tigers will proudly host a special Armed Forces Day celebration at our home fixture against Toulouse Olympique on Saturday 20 June, bringing together serving personnel, veterans, families, and supporters for a matchday dedicated to honouring the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces community. The day will feature a preβmatch Armed Forces Rugby League fixture, with representative teams such as the Army and Navy set to showcase the strength and camaraderie shared by both rugby league and military life. As a gesture of thanks, serving personnel, veterans, and their families will receive free entry, ensuring they feel welcomed into the Tigers family. Our fan zone will take on a vibrant marketplace atmosphere with live music, bouncy castles, family activities, and popβup stalls, creating a lively hub for celebration and connection. Before kickβoff, a marching band and standard bearers will form a powerful Guard of Honour, leading into a moment of reflection as The Last Post is played. We are especially proud to recognise members of our own Tigers community whose lives have been shaped by military service, including an Army veteran within our core team and a Trustee who also serves as President of the Royal British Legion. Their journeys reflect the resilience, leadership, and continued contribution of veterans across the country and we are honoured to celebrate them as part of our club. Armed Forces Day at The OneBore Stadium will be a meaningful blend of rugby league, remembrance and community spirit, and we look forward to welcoming everyone.
