Charnwood will honour the Armed Forces community with a special event in Loughborough’s Queen’s Park to mark Armed Forces Day.

Charnwood Borough Council is hosting ‘Charnwood Salutes the Armed Forces’ event on Saturday, June 27 from 11am until 3pm and is free to attend.

The day offers a packed programme of entertainment and activities, including military displays, live performances, community stalls and family attractions.

Visitors can enjoy music, food, parades, and a special moment of reflection at 12.30pm to honour the courage and commitment of our service personnel past and present.

Highlights of the day include:

-Military vehicles and equipment on display
-Cadet parades and demonstrations
-Handcrafted market stalls and local produce
-Live music and themed performances
-Interactive children’s activities such as face painting, crafts, and trail challenges
-A variety of street food and refreshments

Queen’s Park is accessible with level paths and accessible facilities. Dogs are welcome on leads.
