This free, family-friendly event welcomes everyone to celebrate our armed forces community and to show appreciation for all they contribute to our city and the country.
The day will begin with a military parade led by the Army Cadet Band, featuring local full‑time and reserve units, cadets, veterans, and standard bearers from the city’s Freedom Units — RAF Cosford, 210 Battery, the Mercian Regiment, and HMS Forward. A representative from the West Midlands Lieutenancy and the Mayor of Wolverhampton will then carry out a military inspection, followed by opportunities to meet military personnel and explore information stands from a range of military organisations.
Alongside the formal elements, the event will offer plenty of fun for all ages, including a funfair, inflatables, food stalls, an ice‑cream van, and a themed bar. Families can enjoy interactive activities such as face painting, mascots, and have‑a‑go sports sessions.
Live entertainment will run throughout the day on the main stage, featuring school performances, a military wives choir, the Army Cadet Band, and local artists, with a mix of musical styles to suit all tastes. The stage host will also lead interactive games and competitions to keep the atmosphere lively and engaging.
