Together for Colwyn Bay will deliver a dedicated Armed Forces Market on Saturday 20th June as part of the official Colwyn Bay Market calendar.
This event is intended to align with the aims and spirit of the national Armed Forces Day programme: to show support for serving personnel, reservists, veterans, cadets and their families, and to provide an opportunity for the wider community to recognise their contribution.
The event will be open to the public, free to attend, and inclusive of the Armed Forces community. It will be delivered within the recognised Armed Forces Day period in June and will incorporate appropriate acknowledgement and celebration throughout the day.
We will work collaboratively with local Armed Forces representatives, community organisations and charities to ensure meaningful participation and appropriate representation on the day.
The event will include:
Independent market traders and local producers
Space for relevant charities and organisations
Live music and entertainment programmed throughout the full event duration (10:00am – 5:00pm)
A welcoming, family-friendly town centre environment
All entertainment will remain appropriate to the purpose of the day — celebratory, respectful and community-focused.
Location and Access
Location: Station Road, Colwyn Bay town centre
Public Transport:
The event site is approximately 2–3 minutes’ walk from Colwyn Bay Railway Station. Local bus services operate along Conway Road and within the immediate town centre.
Parking:
Public car parking is available within short walking distance at:
Bay View Shopping Centre
Station Road car park
Civic Centre car park
Visitors will be advised to allow additional time for parking due to anticipated increased attendance.
Accessibility:
Station Road provides largely level, step-free access. Blue Badge parking is available within nearby public car parks. Accessible toilet facilities are available at Bay View Shopping Centre. Event stewards will be present throughout the day to provide assistance where required.
