“Celebrating Armed Forces Day”
This special event also proudly celebrates Armed Forces Day, honouring the bravery, sacrifice, and service of the men and women who served during the wartime years — and those who continue to serve today. It’s a chance to remember, reflect, and say thank you while enjoying a community celebration full of music, history, and spirit.
A short parade of armed forces personnel past and present including our local cadets will take place along Court Street into Market Place. They will gather around a central point in Market Place and an Armed Forces Day flag will be raised. The last post will be played by a veteran bugler. (If you would like to take part in the parade please contact the event organiser).
Come dressed in your finest wartime or vintage outfits, dance the day away, and enjoy a step back in time you won’t forget!
