Armed Forces Day Fest is a town centre celebration that brings our community together to thank the Armed Forces family for their service today and every day. The programme will include:

A town centre parade featuring local cadet units and veterans associations
Static displays and information points led by local partners and community groups
A main stage for formal proceedings and public thanks
Attendance by the Mayor of Mansfield and the Member of Parliament to offer messages of thanks
A flag raising and a moment of silence to recognise those who have fallen in service

Throughout the day we will run a dedicated communications plan with on site announcements and social media updates that focus on thanking serving personnel, reserves, veterans, cadets and their families, highlighting their contribution to the nation and to Mansfield. This directly meets the requirement to demonstrate how the event is relevant to serving Armed Forces and how it provides an opportunity to thank the Armed Forces community
