It is hoped that we, the Residents of Parbold, led by Veterans of varying ages and Service, can bring together all aspects of The Services with Families and Friends both old and new, along with surrounding areas (Bispham, Dalton & Hilldale) to Mark Armed Forces Day 2026. The main focus of our Day will, hopefully coincide with the Unveiling and Service of Dedication of a NEW WAR MEMORIAL in our Village. A small Village with a rich history within the Services. We are starting with the Memorial, sadly lacking for whatever reason, and will include the opening of our Village Halls to attendees to celebrate the Lives and Loves lost over the Centuries from Members of Our Community. Cake Bakers, Local Restaurants and Entertainers have all shared their support when told should such a venture is, hopefully, being organized. Memorabilia, Presentations (I will be doing a Gulf War 35th Anniversary Talk). Working on local people with Military Vehicles and equipment to display. A Day to not only Remember but a day to thank those, and their families who have Served, are Serving and others who, with no doubt, will Serve in the future.
