Churchill Music, UK registered charity number 1121866 is holding this event to bring people together to celebrate Armed Forces Day. The Royal Marines Association Concert Band are coming to perform and talk to us in a marquee in the centre of our villages, to demonstrate the amazing opportunities that exist for our young people in the armed forces and also to celebrate the bravery of our veterans who have done so much to keep us safe. It is difficult to engage newcomers to our villages in the huge new developments. What better way to engage with them than through some incredible uplifting military music offered free of charge to all. The event will end on a high featuring Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory. There will be plenty of bunting and people are invited to bring their flags and join in. As Parish councillor myself, I am delighted to say that Churchill Parish Council are fully supportive of this event which is part of a weekend of celebrations to bring people together.
