This will be Stroud’s first Armed Forces Day event, Our veterans group in conjuntion with the Stroud Town & District Council plan to stage an event at the Stratford Park event space.
This will include stalls related to service to the crown, local Fire service, Ambulance etc as well as stalls associated with military service, The RBL, SSAFA and Military wives choir as well as our local Army cadets and Sea Cadets. There will be military vehicles from a local military vehicle group and attendance from 2 of our local military barracks, Duke of Gloucester & Imjin, though this has not yet been confirmed.
There will be a performance from the military wives as well as food and drink. This is an open attendance event which we will be advertising using local media outlets as well as TV and radio.
