Suffolk is proud to host Armed Forces Day 2026 in Stowmarket on Saturday 27 June, bringing our communities together to honour the commitment and sacrifice of our serving personnel, veterans, service families and cadets.

Taking place at Stowmarket Recreation Ground from 11:00am to 3:00pm, this free, family‑friendly celebration offers a warm welcome to everyone. Visitors can enjoy a vibrant programme featuring:
– Military presence and displays, with opportunities to learn more about equipment, roles and support available for the Armed Forces community.
– Live entertainment throughout the day, including performances such as the RAF Honington Band, Armed Forces Wives Choir and The Vibettes.
– A wide mix of stalls and activities, including forces charities, community organisations, children’s attractions and interactive experiences.
– Free children’s activities, such as the Trailer Cave, climbing wall, creative workshops and more, helping ensure the day is enjoyable and accessible for all families.
– Gazelle and an Apache (dependant on the availability on the day)

Suffolk’s Armed Forces Day reflects our ongoing commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, celebrating the invaluable role of our military community while ensuring no family is excluded from taking part. With fun, pride and community spirit at its heart, the event promises an uplifting afternoon for all ages.
