Thurso Armed Forces Day – 25th June 2023

After many years of absence the Thurso Branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland are seeking to reintroduce an annual Armed Forces Day to show support for the UK Armed Forces, past and present, and their families whilst promoting the valuable contribution that the Royal British Legion provides to our local, regional, and national communities.

This year’s fun day out for all the family, includes representation from across our local and regional community. Attendees include: UK Armed Forces, Veterans, Cadet Forces, Highland Dancers, Emergency Services, Thurso Pipe Band, and the Pentland Brass Band.

There will various activities for everyone to support and get involed in throughout the day, these include; Local Produce Stalls, Children’s Games, a Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, a Armed Forces Scavenger Hunt, a River Duck Race, a BBQ and Tea & Coffee.

The event will be run from 11am to 4pm, opened by Lord Thurso at 1pm and be held in Thurso, along Riverside Road at the immediate area of Thurso Royal British Legion.
