Wakefield Armed Forces Day is a free, family-friendly event celebrating and honouring the contributions and sacrifices of both serving and veteran members of the armed forces, as well as the broader services of military personnel.

The event has a number of highlights that include the veterans parade, free fall parachute display, community arena performances, military living history displays, veterans marquee, craft fair, children’s activities, static displays and much more!

There is a hosted veterans marquee which serves as focal point. The event is opened with speeches from Lord St Oswald and Wakefield Armed Forces Champion.
