Race goers and the military came together yesterday at the Armed Forces Day at Royal Ascot. Personnel from all three services and their families were welcomed to the Berkshire racecourse with discounted tickets to military personnel.
Volunteers from the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force also supported Ascot’s racecourse staff as stewards.
Legendary jockey Frankie Detorri and Channel 4’s fashion commentator Gok Wan showed their support for those who keep us safe, posing with members of the Armed Forces in the racing enclosures, and other race-goers demonstrated their respect with salutes and cheers.
