Plymouth marks Armed Forces Day

Families and members of the Armed Forces marked Armed Forces Day with a service and activities on Plymouth Hoe. The ceremony was a salute to all service people and it is thought that more than 50,000 people showed their support. A moving review of the day can be found in the Plymouth Herald.

Southport marks Armed Forces Day

Hundreds lined the streets of Southport for this year’s Armed Forces Day Parade. The Band of the King’s Division led the parade of Armed Forces personnel, local Cadets and Veterans. Armed Forces stands, charities and military vehicles lined the street after the parade to help the community enjoy the day.
